Five years after \u201cTake Me to Church\u201d and his self-titled debut album, Hozier<\/a> returned with his second LP Wasteland, Baby!<\/em><\/a>, which became the Irish singer\u2019s first Number One on the latest Billboard 200.<\/p>\n

Since its release in September 2013, Hozier<\/em> has sold about 2.6 million total copies, Billboard<\/em> reports<\/a>, but it only peaked at Number Two on the Billboard 200. Its follow-up surpassed that in its first week of release as Wasteland, Baby!<\/em> sold 89,000 total copies, including 75,000 traditional copies.<\/p>\n

Wasteland, Baby!<\/em> is also the first rock album to top the Billboard 200 in 2019, and the first rock album to hit Number One since Mumford & Sons\u2019 Delta<\/em> in December 2018.<\/p>\n

Three more new releases debuted within the Top 10: 2 Chainz<\/a>\u2019 Rap or Go to the League<\/em> opened at Number Four with 65,000 total copies, Lil Skies\u2019 Shelby<\/em> opened at Number Five and Solange<\/a>\u2019s surprise When I Get Home<\/em><\/a> entered at Number Seven with 43,000 copies.<\/p>\n

Ariana Grande\u2019s Thank U, Next<\/em> held at Number Two for the second straight week, followed by last week\u2019s Number One, the A Star Is Born<\/em> soundtrack, at Number Three. The Bohemian Rhapsody<\/em> soundtrack fell one spot to Number Six.<\/p>\n

Gunna\u2019s Drip or Drown 2<\/em> (Number Eight), Offset\u2019s Father of 4<\/em> (Number Nine) and a Boogie Wit da Hoodie\u2019s Hoodie SZN<\/em> (Number 10) occupied the rest of the Top 10.<\/p>\n

Next week, Maren Morris\u2019 Girl<\/em> and Juice WRLD\u2019s Death Race for Love<\/em> will aim for the top spot.<\/p>\n
