The track is a collaboration with both Play-N-Skillz \u2014 who are best known for rap hits (Chamillionaire\u2019s \u201cRidin&#8217;\u201d) but have also worked heavily in Latin music (Daddy Yankee, Yandel) \u2014 and DJ Kass, whose \u201cScooby Doo Pa Pa\u201d single was inescapable for the majority of 2018. \u201cTiralo Pa Ka\u201d is racing and bare-bones, with a keening siren that ratchets up tension. The beat is fierce and repetitive; Black\u2019s melodies serve to soften the rhythmic barrage.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTiralo Pa Ka\u201d is the lead single from Black\u2019s debut album on Aftercluv, Universal Music Latin Entertainment\u2019s dance division, which was launched in 2015. \u201cWe think dancehall is a global rhythm \u2014 everything uses so much influence from it,\u201d said Pedro Guzman, the label\u2019s svp, last year. \u201cWe have to prove wrong the systematic thing that we have a dancehall artist with one huge song and then the industry forgets about it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cGyal You a Party Animal\u201d is one of the few dancehall singles that streamed like crazy, which is heartening as Black prepares his album. \u201cIt\u2019s a much more democratic world out there \u2014 there are not as many gatekeepers,\u201d Guzman says. \u201cYou don\u2019t have to count on major markets like the U.S. and the U.K. to make a song go global now. You can get smaller to mid-level markets: Start with Romania, Spain, Italy, then move on to France, Germany, and obviously Mexico and Brazil.
