The band have released a short statement.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Slipknot <\/strong>have announced that percussionist Chris Fehn is no longer a member of the band. <\/p>\n

In a short statement posted on their official website<\/a>, Slipknot shared “Slipknot\u2019s focus is on making album #6, and our upcoming shows around the world, our best ever. Chris knows why he is no longer a part of Slipknot. We are disappointed that he chose to point fingers and manufacture claims, rather than doing what was necessary to continue to be a part of Slipknot. We would have preferred he not take the path that he has, but evolution in all things is a necessary part of this life. Long Live The Knot.”<\/em><\/p>\n

Chris’ departure from the band follows reports<\/a> late last week that he was suing the band, whilst still a member. The dispute reportedly revolves around pay and compensation.<\/p>\n

As yet, Chris has not made a public statement about his departure from the band.<\/p>\n

Following the reports of the legal battle being made public, Slipknot frontman Corey Taylor took to Twitter to share a short statement “You\u2019re gonna read a lot of bullshit today. This is all I\u2019ll say. JUST YOU WAIT TIL THE TRUTH COMES OUT. Long Live The Knot.”<\/em><\/p>\n
