Entitled <em>Miss_Anthropocene<\/em>, the singer took to social media on Tuesday to unveil details about the forthcoming LP.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s a concept album about the anthropomorphic Goddess of climate change: A psychedelic, space dwelling demon\/ beauty-Queen, who relishes the end of the world,\u201d she explained in a Twitter post. \u201cShe\u2019s composed of Ivory and Oil\u201d she added and said that she has crafted illustrations of the goddess and shared them on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/grimes\/?hl=en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">Instagram<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEach song will be a different embodiment of human extinction as depicted through a Pop star Demonology,\u201d she relayed. \u201cThe first song, \u2018We Appreciate Power,\u2019 introduced the pro-AI-propoganda girl group who embody our potential enslavement\/destruction at the hands of Artificial General intelligence.\u201d She <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/grimes-we-appreciate-power-new-song-761222\/\">released the song<\/a>, which features HANA, last fall.<\/p>\n<p>The singer did not reveal <em>Miss_Anthropocene<\/em>\u2018s release date, but added that there may be the possibility of \u201can EP or a few more singles of synth-based stuff\u201d that she may drop before her new LP comes out \u201cbecause it\u2019s mostly ethereal nu metal (ish) and I know a lot of people miss the synths and whatnot.\u201d She concluded her post by promising, \u201cMore musique soon!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In January, Grimes appeared on Bring Me the Horizon\u2019s single, \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/grimes-bring-me-the-horizon-new-song-nihilist-blues-783823\/\">Nihilist Blues<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\" readability=\"5.5757575757576\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\" xml:lang=\"en\">New Album Announcement! \u2622\ufe0f??\u200d\u2640\ufe0f??\u2623\ufe0f <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/bAegemOQm5\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">pic.twitter.com\/bAegemOQm5<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 \u0f3aGRIMES\u0f3b (@Grimezsz) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Grimezsz\/status\/1108202117813043200?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">March 20, 2019<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/grimes-details-new-album-miss_anthropocene-810514\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">via:: Rolling Stone<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Grimes has announced her follow-up album to 2015\u2019s Art Angels.
