I don\u2019t want to be disrespectful toward a serving City Council member whose ideas I mostly like. In fact, I think Ann Mullins has done a good job. But here\u2019s the problem: if she wins the post of mayor, everyone may become disenfranchised. Why? Because her current seat on the Aspen City Council may be filled by appointment!<\/p>\n

Think about it friends: If Ann is elected mayor, you \u2014 and all of Aspen\u2019s other voters \u2014 may have no say at all about who gets appointed to Ann\u2019s vacant seat as a member of the City Council.<\/p>\n

Bad deal, I\u2019d say!<\/p>\n

But luckily, there\u2019s a much better, more certain solution: if Aspen votes to elect Torre mayor, then Aspen gets both Torre and Ann for sure.<\/p>\n
