Vampire Weekend<\/a> unveiled two new songs, \u201cThis Life\u201d and \u201cUnbearably White,\u201d the final pair of tracks they\u2019ll share before the release of their new album, Father of the Bride<\/em><\/a>, May 3rd <\/span>via Columbia Records.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis Life\u201d is a sunny and spirited tune that finds frontman Ezra Koenig trading guitar licks with Jake Longstreth \u2013 brother of Dirty Projectors\u2019 Dave Longstreth and co-host with Koenig on his Beats 1 radio show \u201cTime Crisis\u201d \u2014 and sharing vocal duties with Danielle Haim. The song opens with a characteristically cheeky Vampire Weekend lyric, with Koenig singing, \u201cBaby, I know pain is as natural as the rain\/I just thought it didn\u2019t rain in California.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cUnbearably White,\u201d meanwhile, features similarly plucky guitars, but the melody carries a far more ominous edge. Koenig produced the cut with frequent collaborator Ariel Rechtshaid, with additional production from BloodPop.<\/p>\n
