As Cara croons the track\u2019s potent final chorus, a thick fog rolls over every couple.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">\u201cOut of Love\u201d appears on Cara\u2019s latest album, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-album-reviews\/review-alessia-cara-never-runs-out-of-eloquent-coming-of-age-complaints-on-the-pains-of-growing-760978\/\"><em>The Pains of Growing<\/em><\/a>, which arrived last November. The album followed a stunning rise, during which the singer-songwriter broke out with her own hit \u201cHere,\u201d released her debut album&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-album-reviews\/know-it-all-203825\/\"><em>Know-It-All<\/em><\/a>, appeared on Top 10 hits by Zedd (\u201cStay\u201d) and Logic (\u201c1-800-273-8255\u201d) and won Best New Artist at the 2018 Grammys. In an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-features\/alessia-cara-talks-growing-pains-self-care-and-new-music-628706\/\">interview with <em>Rolling Stone<\/em><\/a> last June, Cara spoke about how she knew&nbsp;<em>The Pains of Growing<\/em>&nbsp;was inevitably going to be about the massive changes that occurred in her life, and how this realization pushed her to take more control of the songwriting process.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">\u201cI just thought, there\u2019s no better person to write this than me,\u201d she said. \u201cIt was so personal to me. It was a really sacred thing; I didn\u2019t want anyone to know exactly what I was going through. When you have full control, you can give away as much as you want to give away, and be as honest as you want and you know what it means and no one understands you better than you.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">More recently, Cara sat down with <em>Rolling Stone<\/em> to discuss how <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/alessia-cara-how-i-wrote-this-video-811949\/\">she wrote<\/a> <em>Pains of Growing<\/em> track, \u201cA Little More,\u201d which is one of two songs on the LP the singer-songwriter wrote and produced entirely on her own.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Cara is currently supporting Shawn Mendes on the European leg of his arena tour.
