Becky G<\/a> unveiled a new song, \u201cGreen Light Go,\u201d on Friday, with a music video<\/a> that shines on a spotlight on her hometown of Inglewood, California.<\/p>\n

The video takes place in and around the Los Angeles suburb, and heavily showcases the urbano star\u2019s street style and dance moves. Becky also references her Mexican heritage in the song\u2019s lyrics: \u201cLa cabra, they call me the GOAT\/On my mama, I will never fold\/Just in case you didn\u2019t know\/I do this shit for M\u00e9xico.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201c\u2018Green Light Go\u2019 to me represents not taking no for an answer, making my own path and giving myself my own green lights,\u201d she said of the new single in a press statement. \u201cI am a proud Mexican-American, concrete rose, born and raised in the streets of LA. \u2018<\/span>I\u2019m on my Green light go.\u2019 Let\u2019s go.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Becky G previously released the video for the bilingual track \u201cLBD.\u201d<\/a> Last year her collaboration with Natti Natasha, \u201cSin Pijama,\u201d<\/a> was one of two videos on Vevo to hit over a billion views in 2018.<\/p>\n
