They could renew the request online going forward. It also gives the Board of Health authority to decide what immunizations kids need to attend school using criteria from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is about keeping Colorado\u2019s kids safe. We need to be proactive, not reactive. We are in the midst of public health crisis and we can\u2019t wait for a tragedy to occur,\u201d Rep. Mullica, D-Northglenn, said in a statement released early Tuesday morning after the bill passed. \u201cExperts believe this option will help improve Colorado\u2019s dismal and dangerous immunization rates.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.denverpost.com\/2019\/04\/16\/vaccination-colorado-legislature\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"Read the full story from The Denver Post.
