In this packed and exciting 2019 season, we are delighted to be welcoming so many alumni back to the Hurst Theatre,\u201d producing director Jed Bernstein said in the announcement.<\/p>\n<p class=\"STND-STND BodyText\">The 2019 Theatre Aspen company of actors includes Travis Anderson (\u201cGuys and Dolls:\u201d Angie The Ox; \u201cLittle Shop of Horrors:\u201d Wino #1\/Puppeteer), Heather Botts (\u201cGuys and Dolls:\u201d Sarah Brown; Cabaret Series), Kevin Michael Buckley (\u201cGuys and Dolls:\u201d Calvin, Havana Waiter; Cabaret Series), Galyana Castillo (\u201cGuys and Dolls:\u201d General Cartwright; \u201cLittle Shop of Horrors:\u201d Crystal), Christian Conn (\u201cGod of Carnage:\u201d Alan), Jon Cooper (\u201cGuys and Dolls:\u201d Benny Southstreet; Cabaret Series), Ray Demattis (\u201cGuys and Dolls:\u201d Arvide; \u201cLittle Shop of Horrors:\u201d Mr. Mushnik), Robert Ellis (\u201cGuys and Dolls:\u201d Seldome Seen Kid; Cabaret Series), Rosharra Francis (\u201cGuys and Dolls:\u201d Hot Box Girl; \u201cLittle Shop of Horrors:\u201d Ronette), Jonathan Gomolka (\u201cGuys and Dolls:\u201d Harry The Horse; Cabaret Series), Dion Greer (\u201cGuys and Dolls:\u201d Nicely, Nicely; \u201cLittle Shop of Horrors:\u201d Audrey II), Joan Hess (\u201cGod of Carnage:\u201d Veronica), Torsten Hillhouse (\u201cGod of Carnage:\u201d Michael), Alisha Jury (\u201cGuys and Dolls:\u201d Hot Box Girl; \u201cLittle Shop of Horrors:\u201d Chiffon), Julie Kavanaugh (\u201cGuys and Dolls:\u201d Adelaide; \u201cLittle Shop of Horrors:\u201d Audrey), Nevada Koenig (\u201cGuys and Dolls:\u201d Hot Box Girl; Cabaret Series), Christopher Carter Minor (\u201cGuys and Dolls:\u201d Lt. Branigan; Cabaret Series), Tony Roach (\u201cGuys and Dolls:\u201d Sky Masterson; \u201cLittle Shop of Horrors:\u201d Orin), Alice Sherman (\u201cGod of Carnage:\u201d Annette), Blakely Slaybaugh (\u201cGuys and Dolls:\u201d Nathan Detroit; Cabaret Series), and Blake Stadnik (\u201cGuys and Dolls:\u201d Rusty Charlie, Joey Biltmore; \u201cLittle Shop of Horrors:\u201d Seymour).<\/p>\n<p class=\"STND-STND BodyText\">As previously announced, \u201cGuys and Dolls\u201d will run June 21 to Aug. 17 and will be directed by Tony Award nominee Hunter Foster. It will be choreographed by Lisa Shriver (first season) and a full creative team.<\/p>\n<p class=\"STND-STND BodyText\">Carbonell Award winner Mark Martino returns to Theatre Aspen for the 11th time to direct and choreograph a newly reimagined production of \u201cLittle Shop of Horrors,\u201d running July 11 to Aug. 17, alongside Elise Kinnon (associate director and co-choreographer).<\/p>\n<p class=\"STND-STND BodyText\">Rounding out the main-stage season is Yasmina Reza\u2019s play \u201cGod of Carnage\u201d (July 17 to Aug. 3), directed Karen Azenberg, artistic director of the Pioneer Theatre Co., in her first summer at Theatre Aspen. Additionally, Theatre Aspen Education\u2019s Summer Conservatory Program will present a limited-engagement student production of \u201cThe Wizard of Oz\u201d (July 25 to Aug. 10) on the main stage, directed and choreographed by Elise Kinnon and designed by the 2019 Theatre Aspen Apprentices.<\/p>\n<p class=\"STND-STND BodyText\">Complementing this year\u2019s main-stage presentations, the season also will feature several special events. They include a Season Sneak Peek on Sunday, June 16 at the Hurst Theatre; the return of the Theatre Aspen Cabaret Series, now expanded to three dates (June 30 at the Caribou Club and July 14 and August 4 at Jimmy\u2019s); in collaboration with the Aspen Music Festival, a one-night-only presentation of Rodgers and Hammerstein\u2019s \u201cSouth Pacific: In Concert\u201d on July 22 in the Benedict Music Tent; and the Theatre Aspen Apprentice Program Showcase on Aug. 11 on the Hurst Theatre stage.<\/p>\n<p class=\"STND-STND BodyText\">Season passes are on sale now at theatreaspen.org or by phone at 970-925-9313.
