He said Marcus arrived in the Roaring Fork Valley from Maryland, went to her boyfriend\u2019s dad\u2019s house, then she and Richard Miller went to the shooting range. Maximon wants a judge to rule that <a id=\"N0x2244510N0x211ca40:N0x2244510N0x22976b0\" href=\"https:\/\/www.aspentimes.com\/news\/affidavit-arson-suspect-in-basalt-fire-initially-denied-firing-tracer-rounds\/\">comments made by Miller to law enforcement officials<\/a> at the Basalt shooting range July 3 while the fire was spreading cannot be used in the trial. Miller said he was using a shotgun.
