pancakes at designated on-mountain restaurants in the morning \u2014 to lively apr\u00e8s-ski gatherings, it\u2019s been a spring filled with social flings.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Special Sections-ATW-ATW_Body_Serif\">On Saturday, April 6, Aspen Mountain was aflutter with occasions such as a ski day with the University of Colorado\u2019s Aspen Alumni Chapter. Open to all CU alumni, fans and friends, the daytime base camp was Tourtelotte Park with a tent and a buffet. Afterward, all skied down to Shlomo\u2019s for apr\u00e8s. Coincidentally, Shlomo\u2019s was the scene of a birthday party marking 50 years of Mike Steiner, a longtime Aspen local. Also sharing the apr\u00e8s spotlight that afternoon, Bumble \u2014 the online dating app \u2014 was staging an event, passing yellow swag out with Bumble written in black block letters, getting the crowd to mix and mingle.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Special Sections-ATW-ATW_Body_Serif\">As for the Aspen chapter of CU Alumni, Mike Jahn, who has been the chapter president for years, is moving to the Midwest this summer. That means his spot is open and a CU alum can apply to carry the torch.
