In the video, Green wanders the streets of Singapore, Hong Kong and Tokyo as he makes his pitch to his fellow Canadian countryman \u2014 \u201cPop by the studio, we can collab on one of my jams\/I know you said \u2018No new friends,\u2019 homie\/But that\u2019s exactly who I am\u201d \u2014 while confused locals look on.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">The end of the video even teases a potential meeting between the two when it cuts back to Green playing the song in his Los Angeles home when the phone suddenly rings.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">\u201cI Wanna Be Friends With Drake\u201d will appear on Green\u2019s upcoming album, <em>The Tom Green Show<\/em>, which will be released exclusively on vinyl May 17th via <a href=\"https:\/\/www.shiptoshoremedia.com\/store\/albums\/the-tom-green-show\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Ship to Shore Phono Co<\/a>. The album features a slew of new songs in a variety of genres interspersed with samples from Green\u2019s TV shows, movies and stand-up comedy routines (the album closes with Green\u2019s infamous <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/tv\/tv-news\/flashback-tom-greens-bum-bum-song-tops-trl-65006\/\">\u201cThe Bum Bum Song\u201d<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Green began making music as a kid, saving up money to buy drum machines, synthesizers and samplers. He recently decided to start recording material again, and noted <em>The Tom Green Show<\/em> will be his first release on vinyl since 1992.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">\u201cI would like you to know that every sound was carefully considered by me,\u201d Green said. \u201cI funneled the drums or bass or guitar noise through a mess of cables and compressors in my own recording studio that I built in Los Angeles.
