The Cure<\/a> have unveiled the lineup for Pasadena Daydream Festival, which they will headline and also curated. The one-day event takes place on August 31st at Brookside at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California.<\/p>\n

The new event will feature Pixies, Deftones, Mogwai, Throwing Muses, the Joy Formidable, Chelsea Wolfe, the Twilight Sad, Emma Ruth Rundle and K\u00e6lin Mikla. Tickets go on sale<\/a> on Friday. Each ticket sale includes a $1 charity donation that supports music and arts organizations and local charities, including Mr. Holland\u2019s Opus, Little Kids Rock, Free Arts for Abused Children, Inner-City Arts and The Painted Turtle.<\/p>\n

The band, who also curated last year\u2019s Meltdown Festival in London, England, celebrated their 40th anniversary<\/a> at London\u2019s Hyde Park last summer. \u201cHyde Park was a fabulous experience, the whole day was really magical,\u201d frontman Robert Smith said in a statement. \u201cAnd we wanted to create something with a celebratory vibe for this summer.\u201d<\/p>\n

The recent Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees<\/a> are preparing to mark the 30th anniversary of their best-selling album, Disintegration<\/em>, later this month with a series of performances where they will play the entire LP at Australia\u2019s Sydney Opera House. The final Cure set from the Sydney series will livestream on May 30th<\/a> via Facebook and YouTube.<\/p>\n
