Flying Lotus<\/a> and Denzel Curry have teamed to complete the latter\u2019s \u201cBlack Balloons\u201d song trilogy with \u201cBlack Balloons Reprise,\u201d set to appear on FlyLo\u2019s new album, Flamagra<\/em>, out May 24th via Warp.<\/p>\n

On Twitter<\/a>, Curry wrote, \u201cThe trilogy is complete,\u201d acknowledging the song\u2019s place among his two TA1300<\/em><\/a> tracks \u201cBlack Balloons\u201d and \u201cThe Blackest Balloon.\u201d Like those cuts, \u201cBlack Balloons Reprise\u201d finds Curry painting a vivid portrait of depression and pessimism as he spits, \u201cThe day the black balloon explodes, we all die\/Nobody couldn\u2019t handle the truth, we all lie\/They wait to see the real exposed\/Till then I kick that funky shit until my casket closed.\u201d<\/p>\n

Flying Lotus also spoke about the song\u2019s beat on Twitter<\/a>, dedicating the track to Madlib and Now-Again Records founder Egon. \u201cWhen I was in college I heard [Quasimoto\u2019s] \u2018Come on Feet\u2019<\/a> it relit my love for sampling and eventually changed my world,\u201d FlyLo said. \u201cLove to you legends.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cBlack Balloons Reprise\u201d follows previously released Flamagra<\/em> tracks \u201cMore,\u201d<\/a> featuring Anderson .Paak, \u201cFire Is Coming\u201d<\/a> featuring David Lynch, \u201cSpontaneous\u201d and \u201cTakashi.\u201d<\/a> Flamagra<\/em> marks Flying Lotus\u2019 first studio album since 2014\u2019s You\u2019re Dead!<\/em><\/a> and also features contributions from Solange, George Clinton, Tierra Whack, Thundercat, Shabazz Palaces and Toro y Moi.<\/p>\n

Flying Lotus will embark on a North American tour in support of Flamagra<\/em> with a set at Outside Lands in San Francisco August 9th.<\/p>\n
