Billy Ray Cyrus<\/a> stopped by The Late Late Show<\/em> to perform his emotional ballad \u201cI\u2019ve Been Around.\u201d The country singer offered an intimate, moody rendition of the song alongside his backing band.<\/p>\n

The song comes off Cyrus\u2019 new album<\/a>, The SnakeDoctor Circus<\/em>, which drops May 24th. On the show, the singer spoke with host James Corden about the collection, which is a concept album he\u2019s been working on for three years. Cyrus revealed that his beat-up jacket is actually the same one he wore in the music video for his 1992 hit \u201cAchy Breaky Heart.\u201d<\/p>\n

Cyrus also discussed his recent collaboration with Lil Nas X<\/a>, \u201cOld Town Road,\u201d<\/a> and how the duo have become friends. \u201cHis record company and management had asked if I would be interested in joining him on the song,\u201d Cyrus recounted. \u201cI said, \u2018What would I do because it\u2019s already perfect.’\u201d He added that he felt that the rapper hadn\u2019t gotten his due, so he decided to help out. Lil Nas X has been so grateful that he recently sent Cyrus a Maserati on Postmates.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve been trying to master getting a sandwich,\u201d Cyrus joked. \u201cI don\u2019t even know what to say.\u201d He told Corden, \u201cI feel like me and you should maybe do a little \u2018Carpool Karaoke.’\u201d<\/p>\n
