Don\u2019t put them away just yet.<\/p>\n<p class=\"STND-STND BodyText\">Just as Aspen Mountain was closing Monday from its bonus Memorial Day Weekend of skiing and riding, Aspen Skiing Co. announced it would open for two more days this coming weekend, June 1-2.<\/p>\n<p class=\"STND-STND BodyText\">More details will come out this week as conditions change, but Skico spokesman Jeff Hanle said Monday afternoon that for sure the top of Aspen Mountain would be open, about 130 acres, again this coming weekend.<\/p>\n<p class=\"STND-STND BodyText\">\u201cLifts will open at 9 a.m. and close as conditions dictate,\u201d Hanle said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"STND-STND BodyText\"><a id=\"N0xf3ad60N0xfe1ed0:N0xf3ad60N0xf78a08\" href=\"https:\/\/www.aspentimes.com\/news\/a-month-after-closing-day-the-party-returned-to-aspen-mountain-on-saturday\/\">There were large crowds Saturday<\/a> to start the three days of bonus skiing, the first time since 2017 the mountain opened for Memorial Day Weekend.<\/p>\n<p class=\"STND-STND BodyText\">There was plenty of coverage at the top of Aspen Mountain and last week\u2019s storm of more than a foot of new snow gave the upper mountain a 66-inch base when the gondola started spinning Saturday.<\/p>\n<p class=\"STND-STND BodyText\">Aspen Mountain is one of four Colorado ski areas open that was open for Memorial Day Weekend, along the others being Arapahoe Basin, Breckenridge and Purgatory.
