The record is available to pre-order now via Because Music.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The French house trio \u2014 electronic artist Alan Braxe, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/t\/daft-punk\/\" id=\"auto-tag_daft-punk\" data-tag=\"daft-punk\">Daft Punk<\/a> producer\/instrumentalist Thomas Bangalter and singer Benjamin Diamond \u2014 originally wrote the song to play during a live gig at the popular Rex Club in Paris. They later recorded the track, which is built on a funky guitar sample from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=eFQdCRQd3yg\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Chaka Khan\u2019s 1981 disco cut \u201cFate,\u201d<\/a> at Bangalter\u2019s studio.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Stardust originally released \u201cMusic Sounds Better With You\u201d on July 20th, 1998 via the Roul\u00e9 label. The single became a hit throughout the French nightclub scene and later gained traction throughout Europe and North America \u2014 eventually earning regular rotation on MTV with a video from filmmaker Michel Gondry.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">While the group continued to write new material, they never released a follow-up track or full album. Braxe and Diamond returned to their solo careers, and Bangalter teamed with Daft Punk bandmate Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo to issue their second project, 2001\u2019s <em>Discovery<\/em>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">In 2018, upon announcing a potential <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/stardust-prep-remastered-music-sounds-better-with-you-628741\/\">\u201cremastered\u201d version of \u201cMusic Sounds Better With You,\u201d<\/a> Braxe told <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/articles\/columns\/pop\/8459696\/stardust-music-sounds-better-with-you-interview-remaster\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">Billboard<\/a><\/em> that five or six Stardust demo recordings tracks \u201cmight be in the archives somewhere.\u201d He added that they aren\u2019t planning to celebrate the reissue with a reunion: \u201cIt was something totally unexpected when the magic happened,\u201d he said. \u201cIt happened once, and we thought, \u2018Let\u2019s keep it like that.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/stardust-music-sounds-better-with-you-streaming-vinyl-reissue-841463\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">via:: Rolling Stone<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Stardust\u2019s lone song, the iconic 1998 single \u201cMusic Sounds Better With You,\u201d will hit streaming platforms for the first time on June 28th, with a 12-inch vinyl reissue out the same day.
