The original song, a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/ed-sheeran-justin-bieber-i-dont-care-song-listen-833777\/\">collaboration with Justin Bieber<\/a>, hit No. 1 after its release earlier this month. Produced by Max Martin, Shellback and FRED, the single marked Sheeran\u2019s first new music since 2017\u2019s <em>Divide.<\/em><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"instagram-media\" data-instgrm-captioned data-instgrm-permalink=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/ByFZkuyhwSi\/\" data-instgrm-version=\"12\" readability=\"-7.7672955974843\"><\/blockquote>\n<p>\u201cI Don\u2019t Care\u201d will appear on Sheeran\u2019s upcoming album <em>No. 6 Collaborations Project<\/em>, which is out July 12th. The album will also include Sheeran\u2019s latest single <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/ed-sheeran-chance-the-rapper-pnb-rock-cross-me-song-listen-839425\/\">\u201cCross Me,\u201d<\/a> which features <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/t\/chance-the-rapper\/\" id=\"auto-tag_chance-the-rapper\" data-tag=\"chance-the-rapper\">Chance the Rapper<\/a> and PnB Rock. While Sheeran has released the tracklisiting for the album, he has yet to reveal the other collaborations that will appear on the collection.<\/p>\n<p>In a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/ed-sheeran-charlamagne-tha-god-no-6-collaborations-project-840763\/\">recent interview<\/a> with with radio personality and host of <em>The Breakfast Club<\/em> Charlamagne Tha God Sheeran explained his inspiration for the album. \u201cBefore I was signed [to a label], I made lots of EPs, and I made an eight-track EP called No.5 Collaborations Project with a load of UK rappers that I was a big fan of at the time,\u201d Sheeran said. \u201cIt was when I [worked with] Beyonc\u00e9 and Andrea Bocelli, and I had them both on the \u2018Perfect\u2019 single, that I started a thing on my laptop, \u2018No.6 Collaborations.\u2019 And just throughout the year while I was on tour, any time I met anyone that I\u2019d been a fan of, it was the first time I\u2019d been able to be like, \u2018Let\u2019s get in the studio\u2019\u2026 For me, this is a compilation album of artists that I am a fan of.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><em>No.6 Collaborations Project<\/em> is currently available for <a href=\"https:\/\/lnk.to\/No6CollaborationsProject\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">preorder<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/ed-sheeran-drops-acoustic-version-i-dont-care-842591\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">via:: Rolling Stone<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Ed Sheeran has released a stripped down version of his hit single \u201cI Don\u2019t Care,\u201d re-recording the pop tune as an emotional acoustic ballad.
