Atop the rumble, Hynde\u2019s choral vocals waft amidst a mix of woodwinds, horns and reverb-soaked guitar.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><em>Valve Bone Woe<\/em> finds Hynde offering jazz-tinged versions of songs by a range of artists including the Beach Boys, Frank Sinatra, John Coltrane, Nick Drake, Ray Davies and Rodgers and Hammerstein. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/chrissie-hynde-valve-bone-woe-covers-album-caroline-no-827596\/\">Previously released<\/a> album cuts include Hynde and the Valve Bone Woe Ensemble\u2019s takes on the Beach Boys\u2019 \u201cCaroline, No\u201d and Don Raye and Gene de Paul\u2019s \u201cYou Don\u2019t Know What Love Is.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">In a statement, Hynde said of the LP, \u201cI\u2019m not hugely interested in branching out into other musical genres, being a devout rock singer as such, but jazz is something I grew up around (thanks to my bro) and I\u2019ve always had a soft spot for it. I often bemoan what I regard as a decline in melody in popular music and I wanted to sing melodies. Plus, I have a penchant for cover songs, it\u2019s the surprise of singing something that I didn\u2019t think of writing myself that turns me on.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Hynde will perform much of <em>Valve Bone Woe<\/em> alongside the L.A.
