The mountain lion was only a few months old and was kept too long to be returned to the area to be reunited with its mother.<\/strong><br \/><em>Colorado Parks and Wildlife\/Courtesy Photo<\/em><\/figcaption><\/div>\n<\/figure>\n<p>DENVER \u2014 Wildlife officials have released a mountain lion that was seized from a southern Colorado home after falling ill when the residents&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.vaildaily.com\/news\/colorado-parks-and-wildlife-sends-public-reminder-after-sickly-mountain-lion-kitten-removed-from-private-home\/\">fed it bratwurst<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The feline was&nbsp;released&nbsp;into the wild Saturday after spending several months at a rehabilitation center in Wetmore.<\/p>\n<p>The Walsenburg residents posted photos on social media in November showing the then-kitten in a cage and describing how they found it in a snowbank after a snowplow passed by.
