Bushwick Bill, a member of the Houston rap trio Geto Boys<\/a>, has died at the age of 52. The rapper born Richard Shaw recently revealed that he had been diagnosed<\/a> with stage 4 pancreatic cancer.<\/p>\n

Geto Boys\u2019 Scarface confirmed Shaw\u2019s death in a pair of Instagram posts<\/a> Sunday morning. \u201cRIP Bushwick Bill\u2026,\u201d Scarface wrote. \u201cYou will be missed.\u201d Geto Boys\u2019 Willie D also acknowledged<\/a> Shaw\u2019s death on social media.<\/p>\n

As Shaw recalled in a TMZ interview, doctors told him earlier this year, \u201c\u2018We see a mass on your pancreas and we can\u2019t understand it. It\u2019s not alcohol, it\u2019s not sugar, it\u2019s not diabetes. They went through all kinds of stuff. And finally, by February 8th, they said it was stage 4 [pancreatic] cancer.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI figure keeping it myself is not really helping nobody, and I\u2019m not really afraid of dying because if anyone knows anything about me from [his 1992 song] \u2018Ever So Clear<\/a>,\u2019 I died and came back already in June 1991, so I know what it\u2019s like on the other side,\u201d the rapper added, referring to the incident where he accidentally shot himself in the eye.<\/p>\n

Rapper Bun B was among the first to note Shaw\u2019s death on social media. \u201cApril 7. The last time I saw him. He was, is and will always be a legend. God bless his soul and his family. There will never be another. RIP Bushwick Bill,\u201d Bun B wrote<\/a>. Juicy J, Questlove, Killer Mike and others also tweeted condolences to the rapper.<\/p>\n

Insane Clown Posse tweeted<\/a>, \u201cRIP Bushwick Bill. I can\u2019t even tell you how much your music has meant to me and what being inspired by your music has done for me and my life. I wouldn\u2019t even know where to begin. You will be greatly missed. We\u2019ll rock with you again on the other side. God bless you homie.\u201d<\/p>\n
