An 11-judge panel from the Ninth U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals decided Monday to review its decision on whether the band plagiarized the song\u2019s opening guitar riff from Spirit\u2019s 1968 track \u201cTaurus,\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reuters.com\/article\/us-music-ledzeppelin\/u-s-appeals-court-to-revisit-led-zeppelin-stairway-decision-idUSKCN1TB2DF\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\"><em>Reuters<\/em><\/a> reports.<span class=\"m_2629795363228504283gmail-Apple-converted-space\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Led Zeppelin singer Robert Plant and guitarist Jimmy Page were accused of copyright infringement over their iconic 1971 epic. But in June 2016, a Los Angeles <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/led-zeppelin-win-in-stairway-to-heaven-trial-70565\/\">jury ruled<\/a> that \u201cStairway to Heaven\u201d were not guilty of infringing on \u201cTaurus,\u201d an instrumental written by Spirit guitarist Randy California (Randy Wolfe) for that band\u2019s self-titled debut LP.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">In September 2018, a Ninth Circuit three-judge panel ruled 3-0 that the original trial\u2019s judge provided \u201cerroneous jury instructions\u201d and ordered a new trial.
