The Bonnaroo EMS team and Coffee County Emergency Medical Services arrived minutes later and administered CPR, but the man \u2013 who was camping at the festival with his father \u2013 was pronounced dead after being transported to a nearby hospital, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tennessean.com\/story\/entertainment\/music\/bonnaroo\/2019\/06\/15\/bonnaroo-2019-one-person-dead-tennessee-music-festival\/1468892001\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\"><em>the Tennessean<\/em> reports<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEarlier today, our medical team in Plaza 11 was asked to respond to a medical situation in a nearby campsite,\u201d the festival said in a statement (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.manchestertimes.com\/news\/local\/one-dead-at-bonnaroo-officials-say\/article_988bcb2a-8fca-11e9-a91e-e7ab9fc69bdd.html\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">via <em>Manchester Times<\/em><\/a>).<\/p>\n<p>\u201cA 27-year-old male patron camping with his father was unresponsive. The medical team administered CPR, and he was transported to the hospital. We understand that he had an underlying medical condition, and that, unfortunately, he has died. We have no further information at this time.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Coffee County Sheriff\u2019s Department is investigating the death but do not suspect foul play. Neither the festival or the sheriff\u2019s department would release additional information about the man\u2019s name or \u201cunderlying medical condition,\u201d but <a href=\"https:\/\/www.newschannel5.com\/news\/coffee-county-sheriffs-department-investigating-the-death-of-a-man-at-bonnaroo\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">WTVF reports<\/a> the man was from nearby Brentwood, Tennessee.<\/p>\n<p>In 2018, a 32-year-old man <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tennessean.com\/story\/life\/music\/2018\/06\/08\/bonnaroo-death-body-found-friday-morning-campground\/685781002\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">died<\/a> at the Bonnaroo campgrounds; a toxicology report later revealed that the man had cocaine, MDMA and alcohol in his system.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/bonnaroo-attendee-death-campgrounds-848700\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">via:: Rolling Stone<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A 27-year-old man died after suffering a \u201cmedical situation\u201d at the Bonnaroo campgrounds Saturday, organizers announced.
