Yorke, Godrich and Tarik Barri debuted several songs on the album during past Tomorrow\u2019s Modern Boxes performances.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">To accompany the digital release of <em>Anima<\/em>, Yorke will also share a new short film of the same name, directed by Paul Thomas Anderson. The \u201cone-reeler,\u201d featuring three tracks from the album, will hit Netflix June 27th and also play in select IMAX theaters.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"embed-youtube\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" class=\"youtube-player\" type=\"text\/html\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/YNYJ_BJJbzI?version=3&amp;enablejsapi=1&amp;origin=https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com&amp;rel=1&amp;fs=1&amp;autohide=2&amp;showsearch=0&amp;showinfo=1&amp;iv_load_policy=1&amp;wmode=transparent\" allowfullscreen=\"true\">[embedded content]<\/iframe><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">The digital and physical versions of <em>Anima<\/em> are available to <a href=\"https:\/\/thomyorke.ffm.to\/anima\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">pre-order<\/a>. The album will be available in several physical formats, including CD, double-LP vinyl, a limited edition orange double vinyl and a 180-gram heavyweight orange double vinyl. The latter version also comes with a 40-page book of lyrics and pencil drawings by Stanley Donwood and Dr. Tchock (one of Yorke\u2019s aliases). Bonus track \u201c(Ladies &amp; Gentlemen, Thank You for Coming)\u201d will be available exclusively on the vinyl editions.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">In a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/thom-yorke-solo-album-kid-a-anniversary-832973\/\">recent<\/a> interview with <a href=\"https:\/\/crackmagazine.net\/article\/long-reads\/thom-yorke-daydream-nation\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\"><em>Crack<\/em><\/a> magazine, Yorke said he made <em>Anima<\/em> after a period of \u201cdreadful writer\u2019s block.\u201d \u201cThings slowed down for a while and I\u2019m happy I can work again and come back into focus,\u201d he said. \u201cI seemed to spend a lot of time in my basement, in the studio for two years, and suddenly everything that was kicking around in there is starting to come out.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><em>Anima<\/em> marks Yorke\u2019s third official solo album, following 2006\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-album-reviews\/the-eraser-125503\/\"><em>The Eraser<\/em><\/a> and 2014\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-album-reviews\/tomorrows-modern-boxes-109675\/\"><em>Tomorrow\u2019s Modern Boxes<\/em><\/a>. Last year, he released his soundtrack score for Luca Guadagnino\u2019s film <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-album-reviews\/thom-yorke-suspiria-soundtrack-review-746730\/\"><em>Suspiria<\/em><\/a>. In April, Yorke shared <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/listen-two-new-thom-yorke-songs-828484\/\">two new songs<\/a>, \u201cDon\u2019t Fear the Light\u201d and \u201cGawpers,\u201d though neither appear on <em>Anima<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Yorke, Godrich and Barri will support <em>Anima<\/em> this fall on a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/thom-yorke-tomorrows-modern-boxes-north-american-tour-848872\/\">North American tour<\/a>.
