He selected Eno for the honor in conjunction with the International Astronomical Union and the Minor Planet Centre.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Previously known as \u201c81948 (2000 OM69),\u201d the asteroid is now dubbed the equally long \u201cBrian Peter George St John le Baptiste de la Salle Eno\u201d (or, in short, the much catchier \u201cEno\u201d). Eno was also on-hand Monday at the event to receive the Stephen Hawking Medal for Science Communication.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"embed-youtube\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" class=\"youtube-player\" type=\"text\/html\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/SW74cscWy-k?version=3&amp;enablejsapi=1&amp;origin=https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com&amp;rel=1&amp;fs=1&amp;autohide=2&amp;showsearch=0&amp;showinfo=1&amp;iv_load_policy=1&amp;wmode=transparent\" allowfullscreen=\"true\">[embedded content]<\/iframe><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">In related news, Eno, Daniel Lanois and Roger Eno recently issued the tranquil instrumental \u201cCapsule,\u201d which appears on the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/brian-eno-daniel-lanois-roger-apollo-reissue-832831\/\">expanded, remastered version<\/a> of their collaborative 1983 album&nbsp;<em>Apollo: Atmospheres &amp; Soundtracks<\/em>.
