It opens with pretty vocal harmonies: \u201cWe are, we are, we are\u201d floats over a winsome melody and handclap-enhanced rhythms. Sheeran and Khalid each sing a verse about uncomfortable social situations, where a person can feel \u201csurrounded but still alone.\u201d \u201cWe don\u2019t fit in well\/We are just ourselves,\u201d each of them soulfully sing. \u201cI could use some help getting out of this conversation.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>As the singer-songwriter has done preceding the release of his previous <em>No.6<\/em> singles, Sheeran began to tease the latest track via social media. In one clip, he played a snippet of the tune on vinyl. He also <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/BzOC77UhUk1\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">teased the video<\/a>&nbsp;with a short clip that features a couple waiting in line at passport control before they are directed outside. Sheeran unveiled that the visual would drop two hours after the song\u2019s midnight release.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"instagram-media\" data-instgrm-captioned data-instgrm-permalink=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/BzNtPiRhDQB\/\" data-instgrm-version=\"12\" readability=\"-11.197478991597\"><\/blockquote>\n<p>\u201cBeautiful People\u201d follows the previously released <em>No.6<\/em> cuts \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/ed-sheeran-justin-bieber-i-dont-care-music-video-836494\/\">I Don\u2019t Care<\/a>\u201d featuring Justin Bieber, which Sheeran also re-recorded for&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/ed-sheeran-drops-acoustic-version-i-dont-care-842591\/\">an acoustic version<\/a>, and \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/ed-sheeran-chance-the-rapper-pnb-rock-cross-me-song-listen-839425\/\">Cross Me<\/a>\u201d with Chance the Rapper and PnB Rock.
