At a concert honoring the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall<\/a> riots Friday, Lady Gaga<\/a> surprised the crowd with an impassioned speech dedicated to the LGBTQ community during this year\u2019s Stonewall Day Concert. The \u201cBorn This Way\u201d singer has long been an ally of the community, so she was a fitting choice to speak to the crowd during World Pride.<\/p>\n

\u201cTrue love is when you would take a bullet for someone,\u201d Gaga said during her speech. \u201cAnd you know I would take a bullet for you any day of the week.\u201d She stressed the importance of changing \u201cthe system of an extremely oppressive administration.\u201d<\/p>\n

Clad in a rainbow jacket and thigh-high boots, Gaga told the crowd that Stonewall was when the queer community declared \u201cenough is enough.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI may not, to some people, be considered a part of this community, even though I like girls sometimes. I would never degrade the fight you have endured,\u201d the singer told the crowd. \u201cYou have the power. You are so, so powerful, and I hope you feel that power today.\u201d<\/p>\n

Following Gaga\u2019s, Bob the Drag Queen made an appearance lip syncing Alicia Keys\u2019 \u201cGirl on Fire,\u201d which featured Keys herself, who then covered Cyndi Lauper\u2019s \u201cTrue Colors,\u201d as well as Crystal Waters\u2019 \u201cGypsy Woman (She\u2019s Homeless).\u201d She then added her own tribute to New York City with her hit \u201cEmpire State of Mind.\u201d<\/p>\n

Gaga\u2019s appearance at Stonewall isn\u2019t the only one she\u2019s had this week. On Monday, the singer performed at an exclusive concert at the Apollo Theater<\/a> during World Pride. \u201cIt\u2019s World Pride Week: If I had it my way, World Pride would be a 365 deal during the year,\u201d she said, while paying tribute to Marsha P. Johnson during \u201cMillion Reasons.\u201d<\/p>\n

Earlier this month, Gaga announced she has decided to extend her Las Vegas residency<\/a> into 2020. She has revealed that she\u2019s \u201cpregnant<\/a>\u201d with her sixth studio album.<\/p>\n
