Snow Patrol<\/a> have unveiled new song \u201cTime Won\u2019t Go Slowly,\u201d which is part of a forthcoming project that marks the band\u2019s 25th anniversary. The project follows 2018\u2019s Wildness<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n

The lithe, romantic song\u2019s lyrics ponder how quickly time moves when in love. \u201cTime won\u2019t go slowly, though\/I beg it to last,\u201d frontman Gary Lightbody sings. \u201cI just wanna be here with you\/That\u2019s all I ask.\u201d<\/p>\n

The band said the song is the first piece of music from their upcoming anniversary project. \u201cWe\u2019ve been working in the studio over the last few months on a project to celebrate 25 years of Snow Patrol,\u201d the group unveiled<\/a> on their website, adding that there would be \u201cmore to follow in the coming weeks.\u201d<\/p>\n

Snow Patrol were recently forced to cancel a series of European tour dates, including their planned appearance at Glastonbury due to guitarist-pianist Johnny McDaid\u2019s \u201cserious problem with his neck,\u201d which required immediate surgery. Guitarist Nathan Connolly has also been unable to play guitar recently as he suffered nerve damage, but \u201che is slowly on the mend,\u201d according to a post on Snow Patrol\u2019s Facebook<\/a> page. Their next scheduled tour date<\/a> is August 4th at Perth Concert Hall in Perth, Australia.<\/p>\n
