The production credits feature a slew of hip-hop giants including Swizz Beatz, Pharrell, RZA, Hit-Boy, Pete Rock, the Alchemist, No I.D. and Kanye West.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Nas teased the imminent arrival of <em>The Lost Tapes 2<\/em> on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/Byk-XCIg8wP\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">Instagram<\/a> last month, while on Tuesday, he shared a trailer for the record featuring a snippet of the Statik Selektah-produced song, \u201cLost Freestyle.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"embed-youtube\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" class=\"youtube-player\" type=\"text\/html\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/BVhrUyKB5Eo?version=3&amp;enablejsapi=1&amp;origin=https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com&amp;rel=1&amp;fs=1&amp;autohide=2&amp;showsearch=0&amp;showinfo=1&amp;iv_load_policy=1&amp;wmode=transparent\" allowfullscreen=\"true\">[embedded content]<\/iframe><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><em>The Lost Tapes 2<\/em> arrives 17 years after the highly acclaimed <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-album-reviews\/the-lost-tapes-245936\/\">first installment<\/a>, which collected unreleased tracks from Nas\u2019 1999 album <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-album-reviews\/i-am-the-autobiography-252813\/\"><em>I Am\u2026<\/em><\/a> and 2001\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-album-reviews\/stillmatic-115690\/\"><em>Stillmatic<\/em><\/a>. The follow-up was expected soon after, but the project was repeatedly delayed, thanks in part to Nas\u2019 move to Def Jam in 2006 and then <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mtv.com\/news\/1649508\/nas-accuses-def-jam-of-skimping-on-lost-tapes-vol-2-budget\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">disagreements<\/a> over the compilation with his new label.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">So far this year, Nas has appeared on a handful of new songs, including Salaam Remi\u2019s \u201cFind My Love\u201d and Mary J. Blige\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/mary-j-blige-nas-new-song-thriving-833144\/\">\u201cThriving.\u201d<\/a> He also shared a new solo cut, \u201cNY Se Mumbai\u201d featuring Divine, Naezy and Ranveer Singh.
