{"id":2445939,"date":"2019-07-02T17:09:49","date_gmt":"2019-07-02T23:09:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.aspentimes.com\/?p=308818"},"modified":"2019-07-03T08:24:17","modified_gmt":"2019-07-03T14:24:17","slug":"aspens-fourth-of-july-drone-show-canceled","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/alwaysmountaintime.com\/kspn\/local-news\/aspens-fourth-of-july-drone-show-canceled\/","title":{"rendered":"Aspen\u2019s Fourth of July drone show canceled"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Aspen Chamber Resort Association announced Tuesday afternoon that this year\u2019s Fourth of July drone show has been canceled due to technical problems.<\/p>\n<p>With fireworks again a no-go this week, the drone show, produced by the Great Lakes Drone Company, was expected to be a replacement. The show had also been planned for last summer, but was called off due to smoke from the Lake Christine Fire, which had only recently started to burn.<\/p>\n<p>The rest of Thursday\u2019s holiday festivities are still on as planned. There is the annual Boogie\u2019s Buddy Race at 8 a.m., a carnival at Paepcke Park starting at 9:30, and the Old Fashioned parade through downtown starting at 11 a.m, among other activities.<\/p>\n<p>The nightcap will be a community party at Wagner Park with DJ Naka G playing from 8 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. A laser light display is still scheduled for 9:15 p.m.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.aspentimes.com\/news\/aspens-fourth-of-july-drone-show-canceled\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">via:: The Aspen Times<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Aspen Chamber Resort Association announced Tuesday afternoon that this year\u2019s Fourth of July drone show has been canceled due to technical problems.
