Mark Hoppus is auctioning off some classic pieces of Blink-182<\/strong> gear, and it’s all for an important cause.<\/p>\n

First up is his Fender Custom Pink Plaid “Groundskeeper Willie” Precision Bass, which has a very special place in Blink history.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe call this plaid bass Groundskeeper Willie,”<\/em> he explained<\/a>.<\/p>\n

“I wrote a great deal of the bass riffs for the [2003] untitled album on this bass. It has the sticker of the unicorn on there and the pink Famous Stars and Straps keychain that has been on here for the past decade and a half.\u201d <\/em><\/p>\n

“I\u2019m auctioning it off to raise money for the Trevor Project, which is a great organization doing great work.\u201d <\/em><\/p>\n

Proceeds from the auction will be going to The Trevor Project, the leading organization providing crisis intervention and suicide prevention services to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer & questioning (LGBTQ) young people. Mark will also donate an extra $5,000 to the charity himself.<\/p>\n
