The \u201950s-set video, directed by Colin Tilley, showcases the singer being violently knifed to death by a rival gang before coming back from the dead in a nearby graveyard. Young Thug takes the role of a club singer while actress Kathryn Newton, best known for <em>Big Little Lies<\/em> and <em>Detective Pokemon<\/em>, plays Post Malone\u2019s lost love. Although the video is a stylish \u201950s clip with hairstyles and leather jackets to match, a modern-day bottle of Bud inexplicably appears in Malone\u2019s hand at one point.<\/p>\n<p>The heartbroken song was produced by Post Malone\u2019s frequent collaborator Louis Bell along with Brian Lee. \u201cMe and Kurt feel the same\/too much pleasure is pain,\u201d the singer croons as the track opens. \u201cMy girl spites me in vain\/all I do is complain.\u201d He also cites another singer with the line \u201cYou poppin\u2019 life doll\/it\u2019s Nicki Minaj.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Post Malone dropped <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-album-reviews\/review-post-malones-beerbongs-bentleys-is-a-flexing-partying-rich-sad-bummer-630675\/\"><em>Beerbongs &amp; Bentleys<\/em><\/a>, his second album, last year. He has <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-features\/post-malone-inevitable-780940\/\">since released<\/a> two tracks, \u201cSunflower,\u201d a collaboration with Rae Sremmurd\u2019s Swae Lee, which appeared on the <em>Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse<\/em> soundtrack, and \u201cwow.\u201d Both tracks landed in the Top 10 on Billboard.
