The record features collaborations with many of the artists Scheller has worked with as a songwriter and producer, including Pawws, Vera Hotsauce, Jevon, and Havelock.<\/p>\n<p>For Allen, he based \u201c1%\u201d on a somewhat true story. \u201cI wrote this song after getting really lost in the suburbs of Stockholm on my way back from the studio \u2019cause my phone died,\u201d he told <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thefader.com\/2019\/07\/09\/oscar-scheller-lily-allen-1-per-cent-premiere\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">The Fader<\/a><\/em>. \u201cIt was inspired mostly by a conversation I was having with a girl who was taking ages to reply when I was on one percent. Then I made friends with Lily and thought she\u2019d sound really good on it which she does.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Allen put out her most recent album, <em>No Shame<\/em>, last year. She told <em>Rolling Stone<\/em> she was especially proud of the song \u201cCake\u201d on the album because it was optimistic. \u201cI\u2019d been really fucking depressed for the past few years, so yeah, [it\u2019s been hard to be optimistic],\u201d she said. \u201cI mean, it was a relief, not because of it being good for the album, but personally. It\u2019s just like, \u2018Oh, I haven\u2019t written something that makes me want to slit my wrists.
