But now it\u2019s slowly becoming my favorite \u2019cause of the sector of music that I\u2019ve found over the years.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He cites Everything But the Girl, Sade and the Style Council as a few of his favorites from the era. \u201cSo much weird, like, white people making, trying to make black soul-ish music, but they didn\u2019t. But they grew up kind of [on] white pop stuff. So, this mesh that it made is beautiful,\u201d he said, adding that he appreciates the jazz influences that were also prevalent in that era.<\/p>\n<p>Tyler also opened up about his love of chord progressions. \u201cSince day one, I\u2019ve always wanted to make the prettiest shit that\u2019s borderline boring or the hardest fucking shit,\u201d he explains of the sounds on the LP. \u201cI\u2019ve been trying to mix those together since my first album.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Looking to the future, he revealed he would like to focus on utilizing his production skills. \u201cThat\u2019s all I want to do,\u201d Tyler said. \u201cI\u2019m going to spend the next two years probably working on clothes and just producing for others.\u201d He also reflected on who he\u2019d like to produce in the future. \u201cI\u2019m open for anything at this point \u2026 The big dogs, Beyonc\u00e9, obviously Jay. Imma do a jazz album some day.\u201d Later, they discussed song structure, and Tyler gave props to Drake, Frank Ocean, early Neptunes and Stevie Wonder.<\/p>\n<p>They also discussed <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/t\/billie-eilish\/\" id=\"auto-tag_billie-eilish\" data-tag=\"billie-eilish\">Billie Eilish<\/a>\u2019s debut album, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-album-reviews\/review-billie-eilish-when-we-all-fall-asleep-where-do-we-go-814754\/\"><em>When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?<\/em><\/a> \u201cI think it\u2019s sick. I like her. I think she\u2019s, I just want her to just keep doing her damn thing,\u201d Tyler said. \u201cI want to work with her. I don\u2019t know what the fuck we would make, but even if it don\u2019t come out, if it\u2019s trash, I\u2019d still just want to see what we could [do].\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The love is mutual.
