The track previously appeared <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-features\/max-b-french-montana-coke-wave-4-854995\/\">on the free mixtape <em>Coke Wave 4<\/em><\/a>, a collaboration with the rapper French Montana and the producer Paul Couture.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSuper Bad\u201d revolves a smoother-than-smooth sample of Jonathan Butler\u2019s \u201cSong for Elizabeth\u201d \u2014 a liquid electric keyboard, a sweeping string section \u2014 and hammering, rap-radio-ready drum programming. Max B\u2019s verses contain a mix of reflection (\u201cBeen down the hard road\u201d), daydreaming (\u201cCouple steaks on the grill, spend a day with the babies\u201d) and warning (\u201cWhere I\u2019m from only few can last\u201d). The rapper describes his current style as \u201celoquent music\u201d and refers to himself as an EMG \u2014 \u201celoquent music genius.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSuper Bad\u201d follows Max B\u2019s lead single \u201cBlack and I\u2019m Proud,\u201d which came out the first week of July. The next official single from <em>Negro Spirituals<\/em> arrives on August 23, and it will feature the rising New York star A Boogie wit da Hoodie, who has been streamed more than two billion times in 2019.<\/p>\n<p>Though Max B put out his first songs during the mid-2000s, <em>Negro Spirituals&nbsp;<\/em>will be just his second official album.
