Ed Sheeran<\/a> enjoyed a second week at Number One on the<\/span> Rolling Stone<\/span><\/em> 200 this week.<\/span> No.6 Collaborations Project<\/span><\/em> was streamed 53 million times. <\/span><\/p>\n

Sheeran\u2019s only serious challenger this week was Beyonc\u00e9 with<\/span> The Lion King: The Gift<\/span><\/em>, a companion album that accompanied the new remake of the Disney classic.<\/span> The Lion King: The Gift<\/span><\/em> showcases African singers like Mr. Eazi, Wizkid, and Yemi Alade; it amassed 40.2 million streams. But it debuted at Number Three behind Billie Eilish<\/a>, whose<\/span> When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?<\/span><\/em> continues to sell and stream at an impressive clip months more than four months after its release. <\/span><\/p>\n

The<\/span> Rolling Stone<\/span><\/em> Albums chart tracks the most popular albums of the week in the United States. Albums are ranked by album units, a number that combines digital and physical album sales, digital song sales, and audio streams using a custom weighting system. The chart does not include passive listening such as terrestrial radio or digital radio. The<\/span> Rolling Stone<\/span><\/em> 200 Albums chart is updated daily, and each week Rolling Stone finalizes and publishes an official version of the chart, covering the seven-day period ending with the previous Thursday.<\/span><\/p>\n

Only one other new album arrived in the Top Ten: Nas\u2019<\/span> The Lost Tapes 2<\/span><\/em>. The album collects unreleased tracks from the last decade-plus of the rapper\u2019s career. Nearly half of<\/span> The Tapes 2<\/span><\/em>\u2018s album units came from sales and downloads. <\/span><\/p>\n

Two other new hip-hop albums arrived on the<\/span> Rolling Stone<\/span><\/em> 200: Dallas rapper Yella Beezy\u2019s new mixtape<\/span> Baccend Beezy<\/span><\/em> debuted at Number 78, while Maxo Kream\u2019s<\/span> Brandon Banks<\/span><\/em> debuted at Number 98. But w<\/span>eek after week, listeners are content to return to the same handful of albums, a group that includes Khalid\u2019s<\/span> Free Spirit<\/span><\/em> (steady at Number Six week over week), Post Malone\u2019s<\/span> Beerbongs & Bentleys<\/span><\/em> (steady at Number Seven), and DaBaby\u2019s<\/span> Baby on Baby<\/span><\/em> (steady at Number Eight).<\/span><\/p>\n
