Five concerts will take place between January 24th and February 1st, and another five are slated for April 17th through April 25th.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf you take a look at Foreigner\u2019s catalog, there are 16 Top 30 hits, and [in planning a show like this] the problem becomes what songs do you leave out,\u201d singer Kelly Hansen told <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/articles\/news\/live\/8525694\/foreigner-las-vegas-residency-venetian-theatre-dates\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Billboard<\/a><\/em>&nbsp;of the residency. \u201cDo you do some songs acoustically or do you give them all the classic presentation? These are all discussions that we have in creating a set list, but you\u2019re definitely going to hear all of the big ones for sure.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Guitarist Mick Jones is the sole remaining member of the classic Foreigner lineup. Over the past couple of years he\u2019s been joined by original lead singer Lou Gramm and other classic-era members on very brief occasions, but the current incarnation features lead singer Kelly Hansen, bassist Jeff Pilson, drummer Chris Frazier and multi-instrumentalist Thom Gimbel. Jones sometimes takes breaks from the road; when that happens, not a single member of the band that played on any of their hits is on the stage.<\/p>\n<p>The individual member of Foreigner (past and present) may not be household names on their own, but they have an impressive catalog of hits that includes \u201cI Want To Know What Love Is,\u201d \u201cCold As Ice,\u201d \u201cHot Blooded,\u201d \u201cWaiting For a Girl Like You,\u201d \u201cUrgent,\u201d Feels Like the First Time\u201d and \u201cJuke Box Hero.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Foreigner musical <em>Jukebox Her<\/em>o debuted in Toronto earlier this year. It tells the story of a rock story who returns to his hometown in Pennsylvania after a factory closes. It features many of the band\u2019s biggest hits. \u201cI\u2019m not a huge fan of musicals,\u201d Jones <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-features\/foreigner-musical-jukebox-hero-795644\/\">told <em>Rolling Stone<\/em><\/a> earlier this year. \u201cBut we figured maybe it\u2019s time to take a shot.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Foreigner joins a long list of acts that have headed to Las Vegas in recent years, including Aerosmith, Journey, the Backstreet Boys, Gwen Stefani, Mariah Carey, Reba McEntire with Books &amp; Dunn, John Fogerty and Sting.<\/p>\n<p> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/foreigner-las-vegas-residency-2020-866122\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">via:: Rolling Stone<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Foreigner are heading to Las Vegas\u2019 Venetian Resort in 2020 for a 10-show run at the Venetian Theater.
