Ari Lennox turns up the seduction in her new video for \u201cBMO.\u201d The video for the song, which appears on her recently released LP, Shea Butter Baby<\/em>, was inspired by visuals from Missy Elliott<\/a> and Total.<\/p>\n

In the Child-directed video, the R&B singer\u2019s sultry vocals are vibrantly matched by the sumptuous, retro-vibed setting, complete with various outfits and looks that include crushed velvet textures, shiny backdrops and scenes in the bathtub. \u201cBreak me off\/Gichie Gichie yaya\/When the lights is out,\u201d Lennox croons on the chorus. \u201cI\u2019m summer time crushin\u2019\/Put that game on pause\/And do it how I like it\/Baby, nice and slow.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Dreamville singer\u2019s clip and track pays homage to two artists. \u201cThis one of my favorite music videos ever,\u201d she tweeted<\/a>. \u201cThe song and music video were inspired by Total and Missy Elliott.\u201d<\/p>\n

Lennox\u2019s \u201cBMO\u201d video\u2019s colorful clothing aesthetic, moves and metallic backdrops recall Elliott\u2019s \u201cThe Rain (Supa Dupa) Fly<\/a>\u201d video, while the bubble bath and living room shots are reminiscent of Total\u2019s \u201cTrippin\u2019<\/a>\u201d visual. Lennox\u2019s debut studio album, Shea Butter Baby<\/em>, was released in May.<\/p>\n
