Hot Girl Summer is almost over, but it\u2019s still not too late for the mother of the movement, Megan Thee Stallion<\/a>, to drop its official anthem. For \u201cHot Girl Summer,\u201d the Houston rapper is joined by Nicki Minaj<\/a> and Ty Dolla $ign<\/a> while Juicy J serves as producer.<\/p>\n

\u201cHot Girl Summer\u201d begins with the opening lines of City Girls\u2019 \u201cAct Up,\u201d and the opening lines are further interpolated throughout the track. Ty Dolla $ign sings the chorus in between fun, cocky energetic verses from the pair of MCs. \u201cI can read your mind\/Gotta say that shit\/Should I take your love,\u201d Megan Thee Stallion raps. \u201cGotta whole lot of options\/\u2019cause you know a bitch poppin\u2019.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd who gonna tell him that my bitch is getting her degree\/And when we say it\u2019s hot girl summer we ain\u2019t talking \u2019bout degrees,\u201d Nicki Minaj raps.<\/p>\n

Both Megan Thee Stallion and Minaj announced the collaboration earlier this week, revealing the artwork after DJ Envy confirmed the lineup. This is their first collaboration, though the pair appeared on Instagram Live together (but from separate places) last month. During the livestream, the rappers exchanged compliments. \u201cI really appreciate you, and even though we\u2019ve been joking a lot, I wanted to tell you that it means a lot to me all of the nice and all of the sweet things that you ever said,\u201d Megan said to Minaj. \u201cLike, it means the world to me.\u201d<\/p>\n
