{"id":2447363,"date":"2019-08-09T07:46:30","date_gmt":"2019-08-09T13:46:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/?p=868490"},"modified":"2019-08-09T07:46:30","modified_gmt":"2019-08-09T13:46:30","slug":"watch-nasty-cherrys-homemade-fun-filled-live-forever-video","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/alwaysmountaintime.com\/kspn\/music-news\/watch-nasty-cherrys-homemade-fun-filled-live-forever-video\/","title":{"rendered":"Watch Nasty Cherry\u2019s Homemade, Fun-Filled \u2018Live Forever\u2019 Video"},"content":{"rendered":"<div><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/nastycherry.jpg\" class=\"ff-og-image-inserted\"><\/div>\n<p>Nasty Cherry have released their third new single \u201cLive Forever.\u201d The song arrives with a video directed by the band\u2019s bassist Georgia Somary.<\/p>\n<p>Guitarist Chloe Chaidez describes \u201cLive Forever\u201d as \u201ca fiery smasher about being yourself and dancing through the sadness of life\u201d while Somary adds that \u201cit\u2019s a spicy song about being unconfined and unrefined.\u201d \u201cLive Forever\u201d features a buzzy, Eighties new wave riff with splashes of Nineties dream pop in the vocals and chorus. \u201cI hope that when people hear this song they throw their hands in the air and shimmy with their girlfriends,\u201d Chaidez continues.<\/p>\n<p>The black-and-white video reflects the band\u2019s goals for the song: much of it was filmed during a group trip to a theme park for Somary\u2019s birthday. The girls put on temporary tattoos, make each other laugh and sing along to the song throughout the homemade clip. \u201cI just wanted all of us to be seen as we are,\u201d she explains. \u201cWe just went to a theme park for my birthday, ate a ton of fried pickles and filmed most of it there on our phones, as well as in sessions, and at Gabbriette\u2019s apartment over two days.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Formed by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/t\/charli-xcx\/\" id=\"auto-tag_charli-xcx\" data-tag=\"charli-xcx\">Charli XCX<\/a>, Nasty Cherry is signed to the pop star\u2019s Vroom Vroom Recordings. They performed their first ever live show earlier this year in Los Angeles and followed with a date in New York City. The quartet will next appear at Washington D.C.\u2019s All Things Go Fall Classic this October.
