I love shopping at Whole Foods. I went there to purchase 10 pieces of fish for a dinner party. The young woman who helped me assured me that there were 10 pieces in the package.<\/p>\n
When I started cooking, I realized that there were only nine pieces. I contacted the lead person of the fish department, Buck. He could not have been more accommodating. He brought me another piece of fish and saved the day. He would not even take any money for his time or gas. I was so impressed and I\u2019m so thankful to Buck and Whole Foods! I will continue to be a loyal Whole Foods shopper!<\/p>\n

Standout job by local rescuers<\/p>\n
To Aspen Ambulance, the Pitkin County Sheriff\u2019s Office, and especially Aspen\u2019s Volunteer Fire Department:<\/p>\n
Two Fridays ago, we were hiking up the Difficult Creek Trail and our beloved father slipped on some loose rocks and ruptured his quadriceps tendon. He couldn\u2019t put any weight on his leg, much less hike the mile and a half back down the trail, so we called 911. Within an hour, a small army of guys from various emergency services hiked up the trail, loaded him into a litter, and safely carried him to the bottom. We didn\u2019t get everyone\u2019s names, but we\u2019d like to thank Ryan from Aspen Fire, Eric and Keith from Aspen Ambulance, Anthony from the Pitkin County Sheriff\u2019s Office, and the rest of their amazing colleagues for rescuing us.<\/p>\n
We\u2019re looking forward to finishing our next hike without so much help!<\/p>\n

We would like to send a huge thank you to the staff at Valley Emergency Pet Care in Basalt. On a recent hike up to Thomas Lakes, our dog ate some poisonous mushrooms and fell terribly ill. Drs. Bonnie Abercrombie, DVM, and Bisque Jackson, DVM, were incredible in their assessment and treatment of Albie. They consulted with poison control to manage a very complex situation. Even when the situation looked dire, they were professional, compassionate and in constant communication with us. Thanks to these two amazing veterinarians and their entire staff, Albie is back home and on his way to a full recovery.<\/p>\n
