Jack Black<\/a> and Kyle Gass have released a new video blog documenting a recent meet-up with Jack White<\/a> in Nashville, where the pair\u2019s Tenacious D<\/a> partnered with the musician to create a new song. Titled \u201cJack Gray,\u201d the 17-minute video follows Tenacious D through their Nashville tour stop this summer as they visit White\u2019s Third Man Records, as well as his home studio.<\/p>\n

In the clip, White shows Black around Third Man, where Black cracks rock jokes. \u201cSo, Jack White just gave us the tour of the Third Man headquarters,\u201d he says once he gets back in the car. \u201cIt\u2019s an amazing facility.\u201d<\/p>\n

He continues, \u201cNow we\u2019re heading over to Jack White\u2019s house to record a single. Me and Gass have been working on a jam\u2014it\u2019s not quite done, but I think that\u2019s where Jack White gonna come in and help pull us over the finish line. This is a legendary collab. The D with Jack Black. Everyone\u2019s been waiting for it. Now it\u2019s here.\u201d<\/p>\n

The cameras aren\u2019t allowed into the actual recording studio (or even in to Black\u2019s house at all), so there\u2019s no word on what the collaboration sounds like. After Tenacious D leave the house, Black notes, \u201cWe just finished recording a new song at Jack White\u2019s home studio. I wish you could have been filming because it was magical. Me and KG kicked out the jams. In record time\u2014that was a really fast recording session.\u201d He adds of the song, recorded on an 8-track, \u201cIt\u2019s stone cold jam.\u201d<\/p>\n

Tenacious D recently wrapped a seven-city American tour<\/a>, which included stops in Nashville, Denver and Atlanta. Their most recent album, Post-Apocalypto, <\/em>dropped last year.<\/p>\n
