A mere three months after the release of their critically-acclaimed album U.F.O.F<\/em>.<\/a>, Big Thief<\/a> have announced a second LP for 2019. Two Hands<\/em> will be released on October 11th via 4AD and its led by the scorching single \u201cNot.\u201d<\/p>\n

Recorded 30 miles outside El Paso at Sonic Ranch Studio \u2014 surrounded by 3,000 acres of pecan orchards \u2014 the Brooklyn band called Two Hands<\/em> \u201cthe earth twin\u201d to its sister record U.F.O.F.<\/em>, known as \u201cthe celestial twin\u201d (that LP was recorded in a cabin in the woods of Washington State<\/a>). The new album was recorded live with almost no overdubs, giving it a raw desert feel.<\/p>\n

\u201cTwo Hands<\/em> has the songs that I\u2019m the most proud of; I can imagine myself singing them when I\u2019m old,\u201d singer Adrianne Lenker said in a statement. \u201cMusically and lyrically, you can\u2019t break it down much further than this. It\u2019s already bare-bones.\u201d<\/p>\n

A limited edition version of the record, pressed in peach-colored vinyl, is available for pre-order<\/a>.<\/p>\n
