Whitney also unveiled a video for \u201cUsed to Be Lonely,\u201d which was directed by Austin Vesely and filmed at some of the bands favorite Chicago spots, including the Music Box Theatre and the Lake Michigan shoreline.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cUsed to Be Lonely\u201d follows previously-released&nbsp;<em>Forever Turned Around&nbsp;<\/em>tracks \u201cValleys (My Love)\u201d and \u201cGiving Up.\u201d The record follows the group\u2019s 2016 debut,&nbsp;<em>Light Upon the Lake<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Whitney are touring hard behind the new album, which was produced by Brad Cook (Bon Iver, Hand Habits) and Jonathan Rado (Weyes Blood, Father John Misty.) The U.S. leg kicks off in Bloomington, Indiana September 9th and includes four hometown shows at Chicago\u2019s Thalia Hall. See the dates <a href=\"http:\/\/www.whitneytheband.com\/shows\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Whitney evolved out of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/t\/smith-westerns\/\" id=\"auto-tag_smith-westerns\" data-tag=\"smith-westerns\">Smith Westerns<\/a>, indie-rock favorites from the early 2010s who released three Sixties-steeped albums and toured with Wilco and Arctic Monkeys before breaking up in 2014.
