My guiding stars at the time were Clarice Lispector\u2019s <em>The Hour of the Star<\/em> and Kylie Minogue\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=WSFDCmmsqEI\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">\u201cConfide In Me.\u201d<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u201cMaybe High Alice is the narrator of this album,\u201d Hval continued. \u201cI don\u2019t know how I wrote it, it was automatic. But I found it really funny that I mentioned the sea three times. High Alice goes to all the places I have taught myself to avoid, like the four Big Themes: Love, death, life, the ocean. The ocean. The ocean.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><em>The Practice of Love<\/em> is available for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sacredbonesrecords.com\/products\/sbr229-jenny-hval-the-practice-of-love\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">pre-order.<\/a> A \u201cSacred Bones Secret Society\u201d limited edition version comes in white and black-streaked vinyl and is limited to just 150 copies.
