\u201cHot Girl Summer,\u201d a boisterous collaboration between Megan Thee Stallion<\/a> and Nicki Minaj<\/a>, debuted at Number One on the<\/span> RS<\/span><\/em> 100 this week with 17.8 million streams in the period of August 9th to August 15th. \u201cHot Girl Summer\u201d started as a meme before transforming into a song with help from Ty Dolla $ign<\/a>, who sings a radio-ready hook, and co-producers Juicy J, Bone Collector, and Crazy Mike, who are responsible for the single\u2019s pummeling beat. <\/span><\/p>\n

The<\/span> Rolling Stone<\/span><\/em><\/a> Top 100 chart<\/a> tracks the most popular songs of the week in the United States. Songs are ranked by Song Units, a number that combines audio streams and song sales using a custom weighting system. The chart does not include passive listening like terrestrial radio or digital radio. Looking towards next week, Taylor Swift\u2019s new song \u201cLover\u201d and a pair of Young Thug tracks, \u201cHot\u201d and \u201cBad Bad Bad,\u201d are off to strong starts.<\/span><\/p>\n
