Charli XCX<\/a> has contributed a new song, \u201cMiss U,\u201d to the 13 Reasons Why<\/a><\/em> soundtrack. The release of \u201cMiss U\u201d and the soundtrack coincides with the Netflix series\u2019 Season 3 premiere Friday.<\/p>\n

Musically, \u201cMiss U\u201d is as close to a ballad as we\u2019ve heard from Charli XCX, its lyrics fitting the regret and paranoia of the show: \u201cSome nights, I go back there\/Right back where we used to love\/Think I messed up somewhere\/Don\u2019t know what I keep running from.\u201d<\/p>\n

In Season 3 of 13 Reasons Why<\/em>, the sudden death of Bryce Walker will play a major role in the storyline. \u201cEveryone has their reasons\u2026 The secrets at Liberty High run deep, and in the aftermath of the Homecoming game all of the friends have something to hide. As the mystery of his death engulfs the town, there are numerous suspects in focus,\u201d reads the season synopsis.<\/p>\n

Charli XCX\u2019s eponymous third album, Charli, <\/em>is out September 13th. She previously released the fiery music video for \u201cGone,\u201d<\/a> featuring Christine and the Queens<\/a>, as well as three other singles \u201c1999\u201d<\/a> with Troye Sivan, \u201cBlame It On Your Love\u201d<\/a> with Lizzo<\/a> and \u201cCross You Out\u201d<\/a> with Sky Ferreira. The track list for <\/span>Charli<\/em> includes many more collaborators, including HAIM, Kim Petras, Big Freedia, Cupcakke and Yaeji, alongside additional artists.<\/span><\/p>\n

Charli has also been a featured artist herself for a handful of artists this year, including on Pabllo Vittar\u2019s \u201cFlash Pose\u201d<\/a> and BTS\u2019s \u201cDream Glow.\u201d<\/a> In the fall, she\u2019ll embark on a U.S. tour<\/a> starting September 20th in Atlanta, Georgia and and ending October 22nd Terminal 5 in New York.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
