The track is expected to appear on her forthcoming album <em>Miss_Anthropocene<\/em>, which currently has no set release date.<\/p>\n<p>As the clip opens, Grimes can be seen reading <em>The Art of War<\/em>, a book that foreshadows the video to come. The singer performs choreographed dance moves on a stage with a Greek-themed backdrop alongside a group of female dancers. Despite its focal point of violence, which makes it way into the dance moves, the video has an ethereal tone that matches the shimmery track. \u201cYou can\u2019t see what I see, can you?\u201d the singer croons as the airy, synth-filled song unfolds.<\/p>\n<p>Grimes detailed her forthcoming album <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/grimes-details-new-album-miss_anthropocene-810514\/\"><em>Miss_Anthropocene<\/em><\/a> \u2014 the follow-up to 2015\u2019s <em>Art Angels \u2014<\/em> earlier this year, calling it \u201ca concept album about the anthropomorphic Goddess of climate change.\u201d She\u2019s also recently paired with Stella McCartney on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/grimes-stella-mccartney-adidas-collection-859435\/\">an Adidas collection<\/a>, dropping an absolutely bonkers <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-features\/grimes-fitness-regimen-breakdown-859489\/\">\u201cwellness\u201d routine<\/a> in the process. \u201cI have eliminated all blue light from my vision through an experimental surgery that removes the top film of my eyeball and replaces it with an orange ultra-flex polymer that my friend and I made in the lab this past winter as a means to cure seasonal depression,\u201d she said of the regimen at the time.<\/p>\n<p>Grimes released the single <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/grimes-we-appreciate-power-new-song-761222\/\">\u201cWe Appreciate Power\u201d<\/a> last November, and has collaborated with Bring Me the Horizon and Poppy on recent tracks <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/grimes-bring-me-the-horizon-new-song-nihilist-blues-783823\/\">\u201cNihilist Blues\u201d<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/grimes-poppy-new-song-play-destroy-749880\/\">\u201cPlay Destroy.\u201d<\/a> She co-wrote and was featured on the Janelle Mon\u00e1e song, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/watch-janelle-monae-celebrate-pussy-power-in-pynk-video-628927\/\">\u201cPynk,\u201d<\/a> from last year\u2019s&nbsp;<em>Dirty Computer<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/grimes-violence-i-o-video-880155\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">via:: Rolling Stone<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Grimes has released her latest single \u201cViolence\u201d with electronic music producer i_o along with a fantastical music video directed by the musician herself.
