{"id":2448444,"date":"2019-09-07T15:02:53","date_gmt":"2019-09-07T21:02:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/?p=881416"},"modified":"2019-09-07T15:02:53","modified_gmt":"2019-09-07T21:02:53","slug":"tekashi-6ix9ines-ex-manager-sentenced-to-15-years-in-prison","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/alwaysmountaintime.com\/kspn\/music-news\/tekashi-6ix9ines-ex-manager-sentenced-to-15-years-in-prison\/","title":{"rendered":"Tekashi 6ix9ine\u2019s Ex-Manager Sentenced to 15 Years in Prison"},"content":{"rendered":"<div><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/9887699a.jpg\" class=\"ff-og-image-inserted\"><\/div>\n<p>Kifano \u201cShotti\u201d Jordan, alleged leader of the New York street gang Nine Trey Bloods and former manager of rapper <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/t\/tekashi-6ix9ine\/\" id=\"auto-tag_tekashi-6ix9ine\" data-tag=\"tekashi-6ix9ine\">Tekashi 6ix9ine<\/a>, was sentenced to 15 years in prison after previously pleading guilty to charges related to a federal racketeering investigation.<\/p>\n<p>Jordan, who was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/tekashi-6ix9ine-arrested-racketeering-charges-758090\/\">arrested<\/a> along with Tekashi 6ix9ine (born Daniel Hernandez) and 10 other gang members in November, previously <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/tekashi-6ix9ine-ex-manager-kifano-shotti-jordan-pleads-guilty-federal-weapons-counts-814921\/\">pleaded guilty<\/a> to two federal weapons charges \u2013 one count of firearm possession during a crime and one count of firearm discharge during a crime \u2013 for his role in a string of violent incidents in April 2018. The charges carried a mandatory minimum sentence of 15 years.<\/p>\n<p>According to an indictment obtained by <em>Rolling Stone<\/em>, Hernandez was involved in all criminal aspects of the Nine Treys between 2017 and November of 2018. According to Hernandez\u2019 early collaborators, the rapper met Kifano \u201cShotti\u201d Jordan, a leader of the Nine Treys, at the 2017 video shoot for his breakout hit \u201cGummo.\u201d From there, Hernandez would become increasingly involved with the gang.<\/p>\n<p>The indictment also claimed that Hernandez \u201cknowingly did use and carry firearms,\u201d \u201cshot at an individual who was a rival gang member\u201d and \u201cparticipated in a gunpoint robbery of rivals of Nine Trey.\u201d He is also charged with conspiring to distribute over one kilogram of \u201csubstances containing a detectable amount of heroin.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In February, Hernandez <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/tekashi-6ix9ine-pleads-guilty-788222\/\">pleaded guilty to nine federal charges<\/a> and is currently assisting the prosecution with their case against members of the Nine Treys; the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nydailynews.com\/new-york\/ny-tekashi-manager-shotti-jordan-sentenced-20190906-cuevdxxeinbsbmha6qftumit3e-story.html\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\"><em>New York Daily News<\/em> reports<\/a> that Hernandez is scheduled to testify against Nine Trey Bloods members at a trial that begins September 16th.<\/p>\n<p>Although Hernandez pleaded guilty to an array of charges including weapons possession, armed robbery and dealing narcotics, the government said they would recommend leniency to the sentencing judge if the rapper continued to cooperate.<\/p>\n<p> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/tekashi-6ix9ine-manager-sentence-prison-881416\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">via:: Rolling Stone<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Kifano \u201cShotti\u201d Jordan, alleged leader of the New York street gang Nine Trey Bloods and former manager of rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine, was sentenced to 15 years in prison after previously pleading guilty to charges related to a federal racketeering investigation.
